Missions

Missions are central to our identity at Imagine Nations Church Canberra. Our mission is to ensure that everyone, everywhere receives the care they need and hears the message of hope found in the gospel.

Jesus said in Matthew 25, "I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me."

We seek to feed the hungry, give water to the thirsty, welcome the lonely, clothe the unclothed, care for the sick and visit the prisoners. Jesus' number one priority was others, and it is also our priority.

The heart and passion of Imagine Nations Church is to see non-Christians all over the world become totally committed followers of the Lord Jesus Christ. Our first priority is to see Jesus' last command, "to make disciples of all nations", fulfilled.

Through the generous missions giving of our church, we support a variety of missions projects locally and around the world.

Focusing your heart on God and our Partners in Missions.

We believe prayer and fasting changes things! When we take the initiative to fast, we practice biblical values that Jesus first modelled for us. The act of fasting is sacrificing one of our most essential daily routines. Instead of satisfying our own flesh, we are standing in the gap, praying for our mission partners.

Please join us;
- Fasting a meal or two a day.
- Turn down technology/media and turn up prayer and time in the word.
- Use our guide to pray each day for our 21 mission partners throughout the nations.
- Pray in a community online. (See below our prayer meeting times and photos of our partners)

 “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Matt 6:33

3 WEEKS / 21 DAYS

IN Church Canberra is having a period of prayer and fasting for 3 weeks/21 days.

During the first week, we will pray for the first project; our local church and our local missions. The following two weeks will have a focus on two projects that are close to our hearts and are supported by IN Church Canberra.

In addition to praying for these projects each week, we will also be joining the global IN Church family in praying for 21 Partners, one on each of the 21 days. These partners are located in different parts of the world and are supported by the global IN Church family.

One project every week for the three weeks, and one partner every day for the 21 days.

We invite you to join us in lifting all of these projects and partners up in prayer. Let's ask for God's blessings and provision for them throughout the 21 days. For detailed prayer points, please see the descriptions and devotionals below.
